MARIE A. GONZALES, L. Ac.

The Acupuncture Center in Nyack seeks to support your efforts to live a balanced and happy life.  We practice traditional Chinese medicine and incorporate trigger point needling techniques, where appropriate.  We evaluate and treat the whole person. Symptoms are viewed as part of a larger pattern of imbalance and are addressed during the treatment process.  By taking into consideration the underlying cause of the presenting symptom(s), we are able to help the body heal.  Also, a strong part of the regimen for patients is our preventative maintenance program.

Jen F. - "Marie is one of a kind.  I was referred to her by a respected physician who had patients who have turned to Marie for help and resulted with great results.  There have been times that I needed to bring my children with me and she is great with them too.  Marie is a true gem!"

Many practitioners believe cupping therapy, as an ancient form of therapy in which a local suction is created on the skin, mobilizes blood flow in order to promote healing for many medical ailments. This modality dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures.  One of the oldest medical textbooks in the world known as The Ebers Papyrus, describes how the ancient Egyptians were using cupping therapy in 1550 B.C. to promote healing.  To learn more, click the button.

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and improve function.  This is done by inserting needles (and/or applying heat or electrical stimulation) at very precise acupuncture points.  This process effects the physiological system by needling the acupuncture points to encourage rebalancing of the body for recovery to restore health.
